The specialty lines division is led by Adrian Daws. In addition to the classes referred to specifically below, Hardy also writes accident and health, traditional medical products, kidnap and ransom, and PA catastrophe treaty.

Financial Institutions

The financial institutions team leads business for a wide range of institutions with broad geographical reach. Bankers bond and professional indemnity coverages are underwritten.


Terrorism has developed from a commodity-based book to one providing lead and support capacity on a wide range of risks from around the world.

Political Risk

Hardy is an established leader in political risk and trade credit insurance. The account includes contract frustration, confiscation and trade credit.

Kidnap and Ransom

The account consists of both personal & corporate business and is underwritten in Guernsey assisted by the team in London.

Accident & Health

Accident health business has been written by Hardy for a number of years and is an area with good potential for growth. Products offered include PA, Medical Expense and PA Cat.
